MEETING NEEDS
The home has invested in a number of Electric Hospital Beds and Electric Hoists and other equipments to meet the needs of our residents. We also enlist the services of the Social Services O/T team to assist in our
assessment process. The home also encourages the residents to use mobility
aids such as Electric wheel chairs and mobility scooters to access local facilities with chaperone.
A kitchenette is available for residents to prepare hot drinks and sandwiches and engage in light baking.
All of our residents are encouraged to use the large, secure, immaculately kept garden.
The majority of the able residents are taken out regularly on a weekly basis to access local facilities, pleasure drives and excursions. In due course those residents who wish to continue to support local charities will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as fund raising.
TELEVISION
All rooms have television points and televisions will be provided if required should you not bring your own. There is SKY (full pack) available in the lounge down stairs.

NEWSPAPERS
All residents will be asked if they require a newspaper or magazine on admission. The home normally has a popular newspaper and periodicals delivered and is available in the lounge.
LAUNDRY
All linen and towels are provided by the home. Please request more pillows or blankets if required. If you wish to provide your own linen please ensure that they are suitably marked.
Personal laundry will be collected on a daily basis and returned the following day. All personal laundry should be appropriately labelled before admission. If this is not possible the laundry will order labels for you and will sew them in as items appear. Clarence House can not be held responsible for missing items should they not be marked properly.

SPECIAL AIDS
Community nurses will assess all new residents. Items such as Zimmer frames, raised toilet seats, toilet frames and wheelchairs are free of charge.
Should you require specialist equipment, there may be a charge.
Chargeable items are as follows (unless free nursing contribution is provided by the Warwickshire PCT):
• Roho Cushion
• Roho Mattress
• Harvest Supreme air mattress or similar
• Recliner chairs: The home does have a selection of recliner chairs for general use. Residents must purchase their own recliner chair should they want one. They range from approximately £600 to £1500 for a dual motor and come in various shapes and sizes.
TELEPHONE
All rooms have telephone points and can be connected on request. The system is an internal system although all call charges are set at British Telecom rates. All charges are free for moderate usage. This applies to both local and national calls. Should you require assistance to make a call, please ask a member of staff.
FIRE ALARM
A weekly fire alarm test will be carried out every Tuesday morning.
Details of the nearest fire exit are enclosed on the map of the building.
ENTERTAINMENT
We have organised social events on a regular basis. These include
Sing-a-longs, Betty The Organist, Mobility Plus – Motivator, Quizzes, Reminisce, Reading, Music, Outings to Stratford-Upon-Avon and Leamington Parks.
